Isaiah 40:31 “Those who hope in The Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

    Praying before a meal

    1. Praying before a meal

January is a month of refection for BFO and for what our future holds! All in All, God is our only Hope, for in Him; we move, live and have our being.

Thankyou each and every one of you for your prayers, supports, letters and phone calls. They encourage us to move on to fulfill God’s plan for saving Mankind in spite the hardships and challenges!

    Praise Points:

    1. The children’s behaviour and attitude in church and community are changing from worse to good. The girls are dressing modestly with clothes being made at BFO Care Centre.

    2. Some MAF Missionaries are very supportive by constantly providing food and finances to the Ministry which helps us with food and clothes including shoes.

    3. Thank you David Schrier for the Digital Camera for the Orphanage.

    4. Our prayers have been answered for a laptop, school materials and used clothes from The Oakden Baptist Ministry in Australia, which is expected in early April, 2010.

    5. Lady Tiffany Nonggorr, an Australian married to one of leading PNG’s Law Firms “Nonggorr William Lawyers Law firm” offered free medication under the “Susu Mama” project which she manages in the country.

    6. Leanne Calder, Jo Thomson (Our MAF missionary wives) and I are arranging a fund raising committee with the business community for BFO, latter to be followed with Board formation.

    7. Family: Our second daughter, Nellie Love Kepo has graduated from Legal Institute and was admitted to The Bar of National and Supreme Courts of PNG to perform duties as recognised Lawyer.

Our third child, son Young will continue with his course year in Drafting and Architect building course with Lae Technical School.

Our fourth child and daughter Brenda, has successfully completed Grade 10 and was accepted to continue to Grade 11 in Secondary High School.

God has answered our prayers for my husband’s critical financial needs by a direct contract being awarded for road construction.

    Few Pray Points:

    • Children’s faith to be strengthened where ever they may be in each situation
    • Land to accommodate the children.
    • Timely Funds to cater for the needs of each child’s need in school fees, food, and clothing.
    • School for the BFO children to start soon when we have the materials.
    • Formation of a Board, Structure and Constitution with Fund Raising Committee.
    • Repentance for the whole community to surrender their lives to God through this caring ministry
    • My own children’s education and safety way from home to colleges and high school.
    • Pray for my husband as he tries to sort out things with the new job opportunity.
    • Pray that the 20ft container with contents of Children’s Items sent by The Oakden Baptist Ministry in Australia will arrive safely.

We are trusting a Great God to take us through to 2010 with many new adventures in Spiritual Realms with this Ministry

    Blessings,

    Aunty Rosa & Uncle Jiwa.

Bible Faith (Orphanage) Outreach Ministry Dec 2009 News

    By Aunty Rosa

December was an exciting month as we were approaching the ‘festival season’! There was only one major problem with the second hand clothes we had given the children. Due to the poor housing they live in (grass huts built on dirt and muddy when wet) it makes their clothes muddy and dirty. It takes more water and soap to clean them. The challenge comes when Sunday approaches. It breaks my heart as I see them, so lost in their own lifestyle! Then, I have silent tears, when will a better day come, when they should live in a good house. Where they will be clothed in new clothes and shoes in proper housing and access to water!

The older boys with their new shoes

    1. The older boys with their new shoes

We wanted to decorate the care centre with bush ferns, leaves and orhids for Christmas together with  a presentation of gifts for the children. We really wanted a mumu (traditional roasting lamb or beef in a pit oven) at our care centre. God can do what we ask for and far beyond our plans and knowledge too. Praise His name.

    Praise Points

    1. 2/12 I met Serah James, whom I knew as a child thirty years ago while attending a mission high school. The Spirit of the Lord prompted me to mention to her about sewing clothes for the orphans. Without hesitation, she responded with excitement that she would help out with the task. She brought another friend whom she works alongside with. Serah is also a community worker, she helps teach village women to sew and agricultural work. She has the same interest to work with BFO to teach life skills which is one of our objectives. Both ladies have commenced sewing women and girls skirts, blouses and dresses. Now they are starting on boy’s shirts which are a bit of a struggle as they are not easy for them to make.

At about the same hour, four gentlemen Jonathan Brown (Ex-MAF Engineer) Sam, Nathan and Les from Australia become friends with me. As we chatted, they became interested in visiting the orphanage on the weekend.

    2. 5/12 Jonathan, Les, Nathan and Sam came to the care centre. These men were seen like “ministering angels” to unprivileged, rejected, abandoned and orphaned children. The children were so excited, as they have never seen white men sing with loud voices or with a lot of excitement before. They laughed, played and had fun together. There was joy in the air and we were all blessed in really seeing God’s love demonstrated.

    2. Aunty Rosa sharing the Christmas story

    3. 12/12 During the children’s feeding time. I knelt and prayed for the food and I told them that I only had 16 kina in my personal account. We had planned a few weeks earlier that on the 19th of December would be our presentation and party day to celebrate the birth of Jesus! The children had never seen of it’s celebration before in their lives. Just being able to listen to the announcement, you could see their faces lighten up with excitement! Who knows what God has in place for those who trust in Him fully!

Before the day arrived, the Lord just miraculously again provided money. David Scheier (a visiting photographer from the USA in Aug) had already raised $500US when he returned. In the same week, Jonathan Brown with the three friends contacted their home church in Australia while still in Mt Hagen. In very little time, their church raise K1,800. Another K500 was received from a MAF family. Then some other donations were received from other MAF staff and also  bags of presents were donated.

We purchased food in cartons. Tins of fish, bags of rice, noodles, a first aid kit, shoes, sandals. For all the boys we brought shirts, long pants, socks and under wear. Also for the girls socks and underwear. All of this was purchased. We brought loads of firewood transported by hired vehicle for cooking on an open fire as usual.

    4. 19/12 Praise God! The ‘big day’ was here. All the purchased items were displayed. The Orphanage was colourfully decorated with balloons, ribbons, bush fens and leaves. When all the children were seated, we extended our invitation to the HIV victims’ children and mothers, deserted wife’s and widows. We displayed a little ’stable’ made of grass hut with a baby Jesus inside and had three wise men/shepherds with gifts. The Christmas story was told and the children received the meaning of Christmas! Aloft of joy and happiness expressed as Jonathan Brown jumped to the scene dressed up as Father Christmas. He started giving out the presents as labeled. My husband and I assisted with Jo and Talitha ‘Bubba’ Thomson as well!

Giving out donated presents to each child

    3. Giving out donated presents to each child

We also presented gifts to the six helpers of the ministry. Mostly mothers and two sewing ladies and one young girl (Faith). We purchased three mobile phones and PNG made traditional meri blouses for the elderly women who look after the orphans and underprivileged children.

Also at the celebration were the familiar Journalists from the Post Courier (David Muri) and National (Yvonne Haip) newspapers. All the news, stories and features appeared on Dec 22 and 23, and again in the Post Courier weekend edition.

We were blessed to have MAF missionaries and BFO supporters there. Matt Preece (Engineer) volunteered to take photo’s, Geoff and Leanne Calder (Operations manager) and Matt and Jo Thomson (Engineer) and their daughter Talitha.

    5. 25/12 From the 25th-27th (Fri-Sun) till now girls wear their newly made dresses, skirts and blouses with sandels, while boys wear long pants with collar shirts together with shoes.

    6. 31/12 Had a gathering to farewell the year 2009 and welcome the New Year 2010! Each one of the  children present re-committed their lives to Christ and would like to live their lives the best they can for Jesus.

Thankyou everyone being partners in Spirit by your support in prayer, finance support, gifts or kind this last year. May God continue to bless you to bless others for His purposes to be fulfilled.

    Blessing

The Saturday before Christmas BFO had it’s Christmas celebration. The first time for the ministry and for most of these children to celebrate Christmas, to hear the Christmas story and to receive a present. It was a very special day and the kid’s smiles were priceless.

The morning started off with feeding the children after a prayer and a song. Followed by Aunty Rosa sharing the Christmas story with the children. Then Jono who was visiting made an appearance dressed up as Father Christmas (which I was first hesitant about, but is not portrayed as it is in Aus so it was good) to help hand out gifts for all the children, which had been donated. The kids went crazy at this and at times it was hard to keep the kids under control. Besides presents for the children, there were shoes for some of the older boys and other goods donated to be given out.

There were several other presentations and talks following during the morning. For me it was the first time visiting the orphanage and after hearing so much from Aunty Rosa sharing, it was pretty heart breaking  and hard hitting seeing these children. It was an encouragement though to see how God has continued to move in this ministry so far, in their lives and will continue to do so.

Bible Faith (Orphanage) Outreach Ministry Nov 2009 News

    By Aunty Rosa

“Praise God from whom all Blessings flow”

“As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child. So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whatever both alike will be good.” (Ecc 11:5-6 NKJV)

    1. Elen a deserted child with her wantok, a baby girl

November was another special month for BFO with significant events! Firstly, the Ministry was introduced to the outside world through a young Australian man, Matthew Preece, who works as an engineer with MAF PNG Engineering Dept. He volunteered to assist BFO by publishing its news on his website. Thankyou Matt.

    Praise Points

    1. Praise God for new friends praying for us all around the world by learning about us from Matt’s website. The children can now define good from evil, respect rather than being rude and sharing together with obedience rather than being selfish and disobedient. They are so eager to learn and go to school, but we will have to wait for God’s perfect timing in providing land for building houses for them to sleep in and to build a learning centre.

    2. 9/11 God answered our eight month prayer for sewing machines due to the 25 rolls of fabric material donated by one MAF family. A young Christian mother who was a former youth member of my local church donated one sewing machine and the other was donated by my family members.

    2. Uncle Jiwa, Aunty Rosa, Sarah & Eli with new sewing machines and clothing already produced

    3. 21-28/11 Praise God for community support! My church woman’s group invited the widows, deserted and sexually abused women, HIV victims and mothers along to their “End of the year party”. Three of the HIV ladies were convicted of their sad and worthless lifestyles and decided to surrender their lives with their children to God. It was an emotional time as they testified of the true love of Christ demonstrated by BFO. More are likely to join the outreach.

    4. 30/11 It was interesting to see the community coming together to hear educational talks of how to respect each other, from a child to an adult. The gathering was due to an incident a few days earlier when a drunkard visitor threw an empty bottle onto a bystander. Consequently his front three teeth fell out. This occurrence was a good illustration of a poor attitude to use as a demonstration. Because I knew the injured, the message was spread to the whole community of forgiveness and no retaliation. We helped the victim with medical expenses. Those who know PNG know of the “pay back” system and huge compensation demands. For them witnessing this event was weird, but as Christians we know this is God moving in situations to fulfill His purpose to save mankind. As a result, the victim gave his whole life to Jesus after a month of the incident. Now he is a Christian. The neighbours decided to come to church too, after realising the forgiveness, but no commitment yet made to follow Jesus. Four more new children were added to our group, now our number has increased to 160.

On Saturday the Post Courier’s weekend paper had another story on Bible Faith Outreach Orphanage.

    Feeding Time

    1. Breakfast one Saturday morning

Please find the linked article below (not sure how long the link will last). Hopefully will have an update this week or next for the orphanage.

    Orphans need proper care

    By DAVID MURI

How would you best describe her? A Good Samaritan? The lifeline? Or the redeemer? I would rather sum all up and call her the perfect lifesaver. Mt Hagen’s Rosa Kepa is quickly becoming the lone breadwinner for more than 100 unfortunates, mostly orphaned and abandoned children in the city. These children are Papua New Guinea’s future. They have a bright destiny, but no today and no tomorrow. Their moment of joy and happiness is riddled with hunger and sadness. The little ones live with bated breath. They don’t know what the future holds for them and see Mrs Kepa as their sole light.

Mrs Kepa — or Aunty Rosa — as she is affectionately called is the only mainstay. She is the food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless and hope for the hopeless. Caring, loving and providing part of their basic necessities for these bereaved children has been part of her life. She strives to feed them as best as she can with the limited resources she has at her Newtown home. Her mission began 10 years ago when she started work with the Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF).

As an elite national, she was constantly challenged to see expatriate missionaries at MAF reaching out to the remote settings to serve unfortunate Papua New Guineans. Back then, her charitable operation was minimal and confined to the neighbourhood. She started giving out her hand for a few children who would pass her backyard with broken noses, swollen faces and teary eyes. Her deeds still remained unnoticed and isolated until the Weekend-Courier visited the safe house last Saturday. It was then that this paper saw the lifesaver at her best mood of feeding, caring, clothing and consoling. The children turned out as early as 6am for their breakfast followed by a main meal of rice and bisque. They also received miscellaneous items from toys to clothing, balls and footwear courtesy of MAF missionaries as Christmas presents.

Seeing the huge turnout at her yard and the desperation for survival on a daily basis, Aunty Rosa wanted to lend her services in a more organised manner. Today she not only caters for the orphans but also focuses her eyes on beggarly settlers, deserted children and jobless parents who can not afford to raise their children. She also counsels HIV/AIDS victims and abused women and children. Aunty Rosa has registered an association called Bible Faith Outreach Inc (BFO). This entity’s prime motive is to establish a home for the orphaned and destitute children. It also aims to set up a school to provide Christian-oriented syllabuses and to establish a vocational school to train and equip teenagers with basic life skills and ability to earn a living. BFO also aims to educate hostile parents and guardians on raising healthy and well-adjusted children.

“As long as the centre is sustain-ed through gifts and donations, we will enable a safe and secure environment where children can be nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential,” she said. “We wish to meet the needs of orphaned, neglected and abused children with food, clothing and personal hygiene products. We will also strive to provide hope, wisdom and understanding by sharing the Word of God.”

Aunty Rosa lives with her husband Jiwa and their five children at Newtown. Their home is located next to a squalidly populous squatter settlement. Most of her adopted children hail from this community. She has a pressing task to provide for them. She is a mother whose heart is fondly generous and soft. “I want to raise and breed them as my own children,” she said, saying everyone was created for a purpose and plan. She feels that that plan and purpose must be realised somehow. Aunty Rosa says she had made a lasting covenant with God to make sure caring for others would be the way for the rest of her life.

Others may think that feeding hundreds of children en masse would be too costly. But for Aunty Rosa, that’s normal. She has seen the hand of God. She is satisfied when everyone gets a share of the daily meal through God’s divine intervention. Aunty Rosa also leases three houses to accommodate around 20 homeless children. Due to space limitations, others live at the settlements and come to get their feed. She has engaged three like-minded volunteers, women who are involved in the informal sector daily to earn a living. The proceeds from their sales sustain the three houses with food for the day. The routine continues.

Even though rich with a very small and manageable population, Aunty Rosa says PNG needs to do more as a nation to fight against pervasive poverty, alleviate HIV/AIDS epidemic, domestic violence, child abuse and other turbulent issues like law and order. “These are serious cross-cutting issues that need to be eliminated. If the Government cannot do it on its own then we, as concerned citizens and Christians, should contribute in any capacity we can to minimise some of these pressing issues,” she said.

Aunty Rosa said overseas missionaries were very committed and sacrifice themselves to save the lost, tame the wild and heal the sick even though they were highly educated and “so rich to come too low”. “They live the life that we expect but they sacrifice to bring hope, salvation and light to our dark corners. They remain the tower of strength for the deprived, the marginalised and the abused,” she said. “If we don’t raise these kids properly they will remain a nuisance in this country and continue to spoil our image. The golden asset PNG has today is these children so they have to have a proper upbringing.”

She expressed grave concerns about her children being lured to work as labourers and bag carriers in farms and rural areas. She pleaded that this exploitation must cease. “They are not slaves. They are young human beings. Leave them alone and respect their rights,” she said. Aunty Rosa’s challenge during the festive season is to task every thinking citizen to contribute positively towards PNG’s growth. There is no better time to pass a personal resolution to do your bit to change this country than this Christmas and the New Year. Be like Aunty Rosa and see what you can do for your country. Last Saturday morning at Bible Faith Outreach Orphanage Christmas was celebrated. It was quite a special time as for the children it was their first time hearing clearly why it is celebrated and receiving presents as well. For me it was a hard hitting time seeing these kids, but seeing their faces was priceless. It made the front page of one of PNG’s main news papers, please find the story below and linked here.

    1. Some of the kids with their presents

    Orphans find comfort

These children are not so lucky but thanks to people like Rose

    By DAVID MURI

THIS is a notice to all those caring parents out there. What are you planning for your children for the Christmas and New Year festivities? Take them for an odyssey? Or, are you giving away a marvelous banquet for your little ones? Even surprising them with unusual gifts through Santa Claus would be well acknowledged and received. They will be lucky because they have you as a concerned parent who will be right there providing for their immediate needs.

But lives for more than 100 children in Mt Hagen will be different. They will not enjoy the warmth or receive any gift from a parent. Because they have no parents to care for them or to meet their wishes. They are orphans. Some don’t know where their parents are. Many deserted their homes to seek refuge at the city’s Bible Faith (Orphnage) Outreach located at New Town. The place is being run by a Good Samaritan. Her name is Rosa Kepa. She is being assisted by her husband Jiwa and their five children. The centre’s sole obligation is to feed these hungry children a decent meal and on a daily basis. They also try their best to clothe these bereaved kids. They are children of settlers, most who had died of HIV/AIDS. Other s have deserted their homes because of constant abuses - both physical and verbal. The centre has been their mainstay for the past year with Aunty Rosa Kepa their sole breadwinner.

Last Saturday, Aunty Rosa provided a main meal for them. They had breakfast of scones and tea that was followed by rice and hot bisque. They were also given presents ranging from toys, T shirts, jumpers, shoes and sandals. The children were in perfect joy. Aunty Rosa has given a new life and hope to these unfortunate kids. They are innocent victims of their parents’ carelessness. They will struggle to survive for a long time to come. Aunty Rosa says as a veteran Christian for 30 years, she felt obliged to assist the little one who were in desperate need. She said many people want the government to provide for everything but she added that she wanted to give whatever little she had as her contribution towards solving the children’s problems.
She does not want to stop by feeding and clothing them only. Aunty Rosa wants to provide them education. But that dream will require so much funding to fulfill. Aunty Rosa’s other problem is a spacious land to accommodate the growing number of children entering her yard.

She currently rents three houses to accommodate about 20 homeless children. They are being fed by proceeds from street sales by volunteers who assist Aunty Rosa. Sometimes they are surviving from donations from Christians. How will these continue and how will Aunty Rosa sustain her charitable operations?

Will hopefully have a Christmas update and more photo’s in the New Year.

Several months ago Aunty Rosa, our flight operations admin assist, was sharing with me about her new ministry and the stories from this. Hearing her stories of these children was quite heavy and I battled to control my emotions. I was really cut to the heart and moved by what she shared. As you are aware of people in PNG living in poverty, but with the wantok system, you don’t often think of or hear of children and women being completely abandoned. Since then I have tried to assist her starting her ministry. By sharing part of her story I hope to bring awareness to her ministry and the great need there is amongst this community. And the great encouragement Aunty Rosa is serving and reaching people with little her family has, despite the great need and trusting in the Lord with each step (photos courtesy of Dave Schreier).

    Aunty Rosa

    1. Aunty Rosa

Bible Faith Outreach by Aunty Rosa 24/09/09 (abbreviated)

    The Call

“In August 1999 we (The Kepo family) moved to the current location called, New Town area of Mt Hagen Town. The area is well known of its criminal activities, illicit markets of home-made brew (beer) and marijuana together with other unlawful events.

When we moved in there, we witnessed many raped victims, orphans, abused and abandoned due to deaths by HIV and other similar diseases. Some were victims of rapes with fatherless children.

In the last five years till the time we started the orphanage in May 09, The Lord challenged us with His Words in Matt 25:34 – 46. Being Christians and doing nothing about it when we saw them naked – (without clothes or only had the one on them but very dirty due to no extra clothes to wear); in prison - (prison in poverty); hungry – (destitute for food); The voice inside of me said continuously, ‘Do you care as much as I care for you? Can you share and tell them of My Love, Joy, Mercies and remind them of My Faithfulness? How much longer will you delay? Have you realized how many have died without hope?’

Their compound being used to feed and teach the children

    2. Their compound being used to feed and teach the children

However, I always gave excuses due to financial difficulties, not enough education, no vehicle to move around from one end of the town to the other for church and other reasons. And then, His Word from Isaiah 55:8-9 ‘His thoughts and ways are higher than ours’ came to me and I realised that even though I didn’t have the resources for this work, He could and will provide.

Finally, on a cold Monday morning, 26th of May, this year, amazingly, The Holy Spirit came upon me so mightily and witnessed that; I should not delay any further but start the orphanage. God allowed a situation as a confirmation of the work. As I was walking towards the pickup point for work, I noticed a half dressed little boy, walking bare foot, together with an elderly woman, just a few steps ahead of me. We exchanged greetings and during the brief conversation while walking along, she mentioned that, this little boy was found in a dumping area - (when he was a baby). So she picked him up and nursed him up till now he is 6 years old but malnourished.

As I looked on them, The Lord spoke to me and said, ‘You know where you came from – Shouldn’t you want to show the same love and care I had for you and how I have brought you up?’ - (Aunty Rosa’s testimony is not included in this story - as a child she would of ended up in the same position if God had not intervened)

    3. Ben, Eric & Matthew

From there on, I said to myself, away with the excuses in the past, and today it’s going to be taking the risk of faith to look after these children. Lord, I will do what you have asked me do right now. So I only had .60t (30 cents AU) so I gave to Fabien and his mother for breakfast. There are a lot of cases like these and far worse ones. The image of the little boy and the woman didn’t go away from my mind the whole day, and I was in tears. Then, the scenario of others which I had seen through the years also came rushing into my mind like slides in that short time. Then a remorseful feeling took all over me, that I had done little or nothing at all, for the last ten years. As a result of my delay and excuses, many died without hope, others in prison due to stealing, lying, gambling, etc.. Others are abused and deprived of the hope in living. Honestly, this saddened my heart on that day.

Like a scroll, God showed the road of life I had already travelled since 1994. Through my years of service with the church children, many were lead to Christ and still serving God. They are in the Universities, Colleges, and even becoming Teachers in the Christian schools. So there is no exception working with these unprivileged orphans, abandoned, abused and rejected children to help them take the similar steps in the path of life ahead of them. The call came much stronger and stronger, so we said “YES LORD, SEND US FOR YOUR USE TO THE LOST”. My husband had the same confirmation, we are glad to work together with the orphans and unprivileged children. As a result, Bible Faith Outreach came into existence.”

Purpose of the step of faith

As Christians, we are obligated to show the same love and care God shows to us. We desire to be part of God’s mission to reach out and give hope to the hopeless. The Children are considered as Precious Jewels for God’s Kingdom, and we are obliged to minister to them in their needs as God provides through His People. ”

    The children

    4. The children gathering before a meal, Aunty Rosa teaches them beforehand

    Progress

“The moment when we said, ‘Yes Lord, send us’, God started bringing His people from MAF to help us with one purpose, to give hope to these children. These special people had hearts to give. I could see God speaking through them to confirm the calling.

Not long, food, clothes, and money, rolls of fabric, towels, buckets, soap and children’s story books started coming in. It was all coming in together comfortably that, it was the perfect timing of God for this mission to commence and we made ourselves available for His Purpose to be fulfilled.

    Banded together

    5. Banded together as a family

We started feeding 10 children on the first Saturday 31st May. The number grew rapidly in the weeks. We have 150 children coming and going. In August, we saw the need and decided to feed three days a week. Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays. The number is increasing.

In the last couple of weeks, we have had four young girls aged 16-25 walk into the Saturday Scheduled Feeding time. They have continued coming and on Sunday, 20th of September, they committed their life to Christ. I know and feel they have a story to tell me, but are yet to share. They seem to be ashamed from whatever they have experienced. Followed by that, young boys aged 14-16 came in too. They are all orphans, abused and rejected, living with someone else and upon hearing of the orphanage they came. They are all now part of this big family.

The Children are so blessed that they want to do everything for us too! What a unspeakable joy to see them change little by little in their wild behaviour. Yes, they will be “…..OAKS of RIGHTEOUS” as His Word says, in His Perfect timing! Now they love coming to church and Sunday school and learning to know right from wrong. Most of the children are learning to pray.

    Children\'s current housing

    6. Current housing for some boys

During the last three consecutive Sundays, The Good Lord has brought Blessings! The children committed their lives to God. Fifty four went to church with us and 30 of them committed their lives to Christ. One of the abused orphans, who has two babies, aged 2 and the other 1 & 6 months old came asking to be baptised. I spoke to her about the doctrine of baptism. God is moving in the orphanage at the moment and it is a joy to witness that… This is our whole heart’s desire and purpose of this outreach ministry. “

    Long Term Plan

    • We will have pidgin literacy class for older children for them to learn to read The Pidgin Bible. The children aged 4-12 will have normal classes in English. A Christian School with its existing curriculum with churches but in our orphanage. When the older ones identify numbers and alphabets, they will be taught life skills as shown in our “Goal and Vision” statement – sewing, cooking, carpentry, mechanic and many others as The Lord provides;
    • A Property to build a big orphanage to cater for all of them;
    • A Board to be in place;
    • The children will be taught from The Bible which is God’s Word. The teaching will teach for practical living. I am sure they will know the purpose and the reason why they ever existed when they continue in the Word of God. Then be ready to meet Him when He comes for His Chosen Ones.

    7. Martin

    Urgent Needs

    • We need funds to feed, clothe, and provide medication and literacy, etc.
    • A van/bus long deck truck to transport children to and from church while waiting for funds for our new property, when we build a Chapel in the property.
    • Government Approval for the Ministry still pending with IPA in Port Moresby. Pray that it will be come through soon!.

    Community Support

“The community supports morally and in security. The children are well protected in the neighbourhood and town as well.

However, there is no support of food, clothing and money due to their own needs. It’s hard to give out, because they are all struggling to live to make their ends meet. This is a long way off idea for neighbours and the community.

My Church Missions Dept helps with a bag of rice fortnightly and The Church Sunday School supports with clothes, especially from the children who attend Sunday school.”

Thank you and God bless you accordingly

Here are some more photo’s of the children, youth and women Aunty Rosa serves. These again were taken by Dave Schreier a few months ago. A Christian photographer who visited PNG and volunteered his services to MAF. Thanks again Dave for your service and these photo’s.
